Operating from Kabul, with programming hubs across north and northeastern provinces, the organization is dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities impacted by war, natural calamities, poverty, and injustice.
Job Description:
As the MEAL Officer for Kabul and Parwan Provinces, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of project implementation. Your responsibilities include strategic planning, overseeing data collection, analysis, timely reporting, and contributing to project reviews. Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate strategic technical and operational planning for all MEAL processes in Kabul and Parwan Provinces.
- Ensure effective monitoring and performance management to achieve program activity targets.
- Oversee data collection, compilation, analysis, and timely reporting per the M&E Plan.
- Prepare reports on findings and lessons learned from project innovations.
- Assist in regular project reviews, contributing to content and facilitation.
- Lead the development of data collection tools for quantitative and qualitative research.
- Plan and conduct field data collection, monitoring surveys, and scoping.
- Track progress, promote M&E standards, and provide technical support to provincial staff.
- Implement and coordinate all M&E activities, including internal and third-party evaluations.
- Lead the preparation of analytical documents synthesizing activity results.
- Develop and revise the M&E plan, including indicator selection and reporting templates.
- Conduct field-based needs assessments, gap analyses, risk, and vulnerability assessments.
- Prepare case studies, success stories, and reports based on M&E findings.
- Undertake regular interviews with project populations, collecting feedback for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational rules, regulations, and anti-harassment policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the MEAL Manager and leadership.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Recognized M&E certificate is an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in local languages and English.
- Knowledge of cultural and religious sensitivities.
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under pressure.
