Job Description:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1: Plan, deliver, and evaluate theory and practical lessons:

  • Prepare teaching schedules with approval from the course coordinator.
  • Develop teaching plans, implement them, and create exam papers.
  • Prepare teaching materials according to faculty curriculum.
  • Conduct effective training sessions using various methodologies.
  • Plan and prepare exams (midterm and final) in consultation with the course coordinator.
  • Record and file student exam results appropriately.
  • Identify and address additional coaching needs of individual students.
  • Allocate work time for individual coaching of all students.

2: Organize clinical practice:

  • Prepare training opportunities and schedule learning sessions.
  • Identify suitable cases for student practice.
  • Ensure students have the necessary uniforms and clinical assessment tools.
  • Manage practical work in the Skill Lab for female students.
  • Oversee female classes, Skill Lab, computer lab, and library.
  • Manage student time for clinical stage works in hospitals.
  • Keep daily records of student performance.
  • Provide feedback to students on practical sessions.

3: Manage teaching materials and equipment:

  • Safeguard teaching materials, especially anatomy models.
  • Ensure proper use of the library by students.
  • Maintain electronic equipment and teaching materials in working condition.
  • Perform other job-related tasks assigned by the coordinator.

4: Administrative support to the project:

  • Control and record student attendance daily.
  • Attend relevant meetings, workshops, or seminars.
  • Submit training documents, including attendance sheets, examination results, and clinical practice outcomes to the course coordinator.

Job Requirements:

Languages Required:

  • Pashto
  • Dari
  • English

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.

Work Experience:

  • Two or three years of experience in the Medical Laboratory section.
  • One year of work experience as a Medical Laboratory trainer is an asset.

Skills:

  • Good communication skills in English, Dari & Pashto.
  • Honesty and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Proficient in project management and logistical support.
  • Ability to manage stress, cope with challenges, and excellent organizational skills.
