Job Description:

Role: Health Program Officer

Location: Badakhshan, Faryab, Ghazni, Kapisa, and Paktia Provinces

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with provincial stakeholders for CCCC Projects implementation.
  • Develop documentation, technical materials, and training packages for CCCC staff capacity building.
  • Identify training needs and support professional development for CCCCs.
  • Conduct mentorship sessions based on identified needs.
  • Organize and conduct baseline surveys, mid-term, and final evaluations.
  • Participate in monitoring and evaluation of health program activities.
  • Enter health project data into M&E database regularly.
  • Identify success stories, conduct interviews, and draft reports.
  • Attend required trainings and meetings.
  • Develop comprehensive work plans in coordination with program coordinators.
  • Undertake field visits to monitor and assess project implementation.
  • Assist in implementing technical activities of the health program.
  • Ensure CCCCs are well-equipped and regularly supplied.
  • Prepare monthly action plans and reports.
  • Perform other relevant tasks assigned by the line manager.

Requirements:

Language Requirements:

Pashto

Dari

English

Qualifications:

MD degree from a recognized and accredited university.

Specialization in Obs/Gyne preferred.

Work Experience:

Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.

1-3 years of work experience in local and international NGOs.

Skills:

Experience in M&E systems and implementing M&E activities.

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Computer knowledge (MS Office and internet).

Ability to undertake regular field visits (40% of time).
