Job Description: IT Officer
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Configure and maintain CCTV cameras, printers, and routers for optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing timely technical support to end-users.
- Set up and configure network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor and maintain network security, including antivirus software and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct regular data backups, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in planning and implementing IT projects, including system upgrades and network expansions.
- Evaluate and recommend new hardware and software solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Perform regular system audits to ensure compliance with company policies and data protection regulations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in IT technology to provide innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address IT needs and requirements.
- Travel to sub-offices in Kandahar and Paktika regions, providing timely support.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals.
- Train employees on the proper use of hardware, software, and IT systems.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an IT support role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Familiarity with operating systems, such as Windows and Linux.
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Experience with network administration and security protocols.
- Solid understanding of IT best practices and data protection regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- On-time traveling and supporting KRO sub-offices in Kandahar and Paktika regions.
