Job Description:

ROLE PURPOSE:

As the Admin & HR Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Admin Unit in the Area Office/Hub. Your responsibilities include delivering quality admin services, maintaining facilities, lease management, office supplies, and advising staff on administration policies. Additionally, you’ll assist in HR functions such as payroll, training, and development.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Admin & Facilities Management (70%):

  • Ensure the cleanliness and functionality of office spaces, kitchens, and guesthouses.
  • Manage furniture and office supplies, purchase stationary and cleaning items.
  • Oversee repair and maintenance, coordinate accommodation for visitors, and support travel arrangements.
  • Facilitate large trainings, gatherings, or workshops when required.
  • Perform other administrative activities in the field office or hub and offer support to relevant field offices.

Human Resources (30%):

  • Support HR Unit in key HR functions, including recruitment, pay, compensation, and training.
  • Provide administrative support related to HRIS, payroll processing, and HR functions.
  • Participate in interviews and support recruitment processes.
  • Conduct reference/background checks, prepare offer letters, and ensure proper vetting of new employees.
  • Deliver staff inductions, track benefits, and assist in responding to audit queries.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Undergraduate degree in business administration, social science, or a relevant field.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 2 to 3 years of HR and administration experience, preferably with INGOs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, attention to detail, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Fluency in Pashto and/or Dari with proficiency in English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
