About Kandahar Refugee Organization (KRO):

Kandahar Refugee Organization (KRO) is a national-level, non-political, non-profitable, non-governmental organization dedicated to humanitarian and rehabilitation efforts in Afghanistan. Committed to local economic development and building local capacity, KRO operates an established specialized network in various provinces, focusing on activities related to food security, research, capacity building, disaster management, and placement.

Job Description:

  1. Support the development, consolidation, review, editing, and finalization of donor reports within the specified period.
  2. Establish reporting deadlines with different sections in consultation with the Child Protection Program technical personnel, aligning with donor agreements.
  3. Follow up on the timely submission of inputs with program colleagues.
  4. Review implementation compliance within KRO’s programmatic and technical obligations to the donor, adhering to KRO donor reporting guidelines.
  5. Ensure accurate demonstration of results in writing, aligning with donor requirements and proposals.
  6. Build the technical capacity of KRO staff in quality donor reporting, focusing on results-based reporting and editorial consistency.
  7. Ensure accurate results-based financial reporting outlined in donor proposals and grant agreements.
  8. Ensure the office maintains less than the 1% overdue donor reporting threshold.

Job Requirements:

  • 3 years of reporting role experience, preferably within a development setting and experience in Child Protection team or project implementation with National and International Organizations.
  • Relevant university degree (preferably MA) in Social Sciences, Statistics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a relevant field (significant work experience considered).
  • Strong knowledge of child protection principles, international standards, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with the context and cultural dynamics of Zabul Province is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport and establish effective working relationships with project staff.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with high self-motivation and initiative.
  • Fluency in English, Pashto, and Dari (both written and spoken).
  • Ability to update activity trackers.

Desirable:

  • Prior working experience with National and International non-governmental organizations as a reporting officer.
  • Demonstrated capacity in M&E and budgeting for large-scale programs or emergency programming is an asset.

  • Excellent Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to update activity trackers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and report writing skills in English.
