Job Overview:

As a Procurement and Supply Chain Officer, you will play a crucial role in planning and supporting program implementation. Working closely with the Sr. Supply Chain Officer and internal/external partners, you will collect and analyze market data, implement procurement plans, and ensure compliance with IRC procurement SOPs and donors’ standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, organize, and analyze market information and data for effective procurement planning.
  • Implement procurement plans following IRC procurement SOPs.
  • Monitor supply market, conduct market surveys & analysis for value for money.
  • Process approved purchase requisitions, initiate and process RFQs and RFPs.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers, ensuring transparency and documentation.
  • Collaborate with finance and program departments for smooth and timely procurement.
  • Lead the contracting process, maintaining supplier relationships and performance.
  • Identify and analyze compliance risk in procurement processes, implementing corrective action plans.
  • Support timely and accurate reporting by preparing monthly reports and updating procurement plans.
  • Lead and document training for procurement staff and counterparts.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, financial accounting, or a logistics-related field.
  • 2-3 years of work experience in supply chain operations (Procurement).
  • Experience working with NGOs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of generic procurement procedures and practices.
  • Proven success as a procurement leader within supply chain.
  • Good negotiation skills and effective interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in procurement plans, strategies, market analysis, and contracting.
  • Strong collaborator able to work effectively in a highly matrixed structure.
  • Good mathematical skills.
