Job Description:

As a Procurement Assistant, you will play a vital role in daily purchasing activities, ensuring effective procurement and logistical procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Procurement of goods and services based on the Procurement Plan
  • Processing quotations for materials and services
  • Providing assistance in all aspects of administration, including procurement, transportation, stock management, filing systems, and documentation
  • Implementing procurement and logistic procedures, policies, and thresholds
  • Collaborating with the storekeeper to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Taking on procurement responsibilities in the absence of the Admin Officer in Nili Office
  • Cooperating in preparing and submitting kitchen monthly reports
  • Assisting in the procurement process by issuing purchase orders, requests for proposals, and bid invitations
  • Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and vendors
  • Evaluating supplier proposals and negotiating prices and terms
  • Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and contracts
  • Coordinating with internal departments for timely delivery of goods and services
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of procurement strategies and policies
  • Monitoring and tracking inventory levels to ensure adequate supply
  • Resolving issues or discrepancies with suppliers and vendors
  • Assisting in the evaluation of supplier performance
  • Providing administrative support to the procurement team
  • Handling any other tasks assigned by supervisor and head of region

Job Requirements:

Language Requirements:

Fluent in Dari with basic Pashto and English knowledge

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields from an accredited institution with two years of relevant professional experience

Work Experience:

3 to 4 years of relevant professional experience

Prior experience with international humanitarian organizations, NGOs, or government institutions is advantageous
