Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Data Collection:
- Assist in designing and implementing data collection tools, including surveys, interviews, and FGDs.
- Conduct field visits to gather data from various sources.
Data Management:
- Organize and manage datasets, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Enter data into databases and maintain data storage systems.
Data Analysis:
- Assist in analyzing collected data using statistical software or analytical tools.
- Generate descriptive statistics, conduct basic data analysis, and interpret findings.
Reporting:
- Draft reports on monitoring and evaluation findings.
- Summarize data, document key insights, and provide recommendations.
- Assist in the development of final versions of various reports.
Documentation:
- Maintain proper documentation of monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Document data collection protocols, analysis plans, and reports.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective data collection and reporting.
- Provide support and guidance on M&E processes and address data-related issues.
Quality Assurance:
- Contribute to the quality assurance process by identifying and addressing data quality issues.
- Ensure adherence to monitoring and evaluation standards and suggest improvements.
Knowledge Sharing:
- Support knowledge management efforts by documenting and sharing lessons learned, best practices, and success stories.
Communication:
- Collaborate with team members to communicate findings, share data, and provide updates on monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ethical Considerations:
- Adhere to ethical standards and principles in data collection, management, and analysis.
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of individuals and organizations involved.
Adaptability and Flexibility:
- Be adaptable and flexible, willing to take on new responsibilities and adjust approaches based on project priorities and timelines.
- Any other task assigned by the direct supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Statistics, Social Science, Monitoring and Evaluation).
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position involving data collection, analysis, documentation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in data management and analysis; experience with statistical software (SPSS, Excel, etc.).
- Skills in data management with knowledge of open source tools such as the Kobo Toolbox platform.
- Computer literacy, including advanced skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Access.
- Knowledge, skills, and experience in participatory survey/research methods and the Kobo system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Readiness to work in challenging environmental conditions.
- Flexibility and cultural sensitivity.
- Note: Priority will be given to those living in Faizabad, Badakhshan.
