Position: Medical Doctor
Location: Herat Province (Gulran and Kushk/Robat-e-Sangi districts)
Summary of Key Functions:
- Provide primary health care services to all patients/clients during their visit.
- Manage the Sub Health Center (SHC), including staff management and all equipment.
- Organize and chair monthly health shura meetings.
- Offer technical support to SHC staff as needed.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to the provincial office.
- Participate in provincial office meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the field supervisor and coordinate with SHC members and staff.
- Manage the overall SHC in the field, planning OPD sessions, and leading the team.
- Ensure the execution of planned primary health care, reproductive services, trauma care, and project interventions.
- Maintain quality care in providing healthcare services, health education, and reporting.
- Ensure mobile health team services adhere to medical practices, national guidelines, and organization policies.
- Provide technical support and monitor activities of the mobile health team.
- Ensure proper utilization of project resources, maintain service quality, and coordinate with local communities.
- Update and enter daily OPD/consultation data in relevant reporting tools.
- Actively participate in community-based activities, awareness sessions, and meetings.
- Identify and report problems at the community level that may interfere with program objectives.
- Design and implement on-the-job trainings for mobile health team staff.

Education:
Graduated from a registered and recognized medical faculty/institute.
Work Experience:
Minimum three years of work experience in BPHS related health facilities.
Language Skills:
Fluency in spoken and written Dari and Pashtu. English language skills are a plus.
