About TSHEO:

TSHEO, The Organization of TABISH in Afghanistan, is a non-governmental, non-political, not-for-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to psycho-social health, education, and capacity development. Committed to following NGOs rules, regulations, and governmental procedures approved by the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan laws, TSHEO has been established and registered with the Ministry of Economy (Reg #1466) since 2009 and with the Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan since 2012. Currently, TSHEO provides mental health, psychosocial, basic health/hygienic support, safe motherhood, and CHW/TBA training for disadvantaged populations within IDP camps.

Job Description:

TSHEO is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and ensure the smooth operation of its IT systems. The role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software, as well as maintaining computer systems and networks. The IT Support Specialist will play a key role in system administration and maintenance, responding to and diagnosing technical issues, and researching and recommending new technologies.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical assistance to staff on IT-related issues.
2. Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software.
3. Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
4. Set up accounts and user profiles.
5. Perform system administration and maintenance.
6. Respond to and diagnose technical hardware and software issues.
7. Research and recommend new technologies.
8. Create and maintain documentation of technical processes.
9. Follow up with users to ensure resolution of technical issues.
10. Perform any other identical tasks assigned by supervisors tailored to the organization’s needs.
11. Maintain accurate records of system changes, prepare Change Request Forms, and ensure proper closure of reports.
12. Ensure the availability and functionality of IT equipment and network.
13. Troubleshoot and replace failed components as required.

Job Requirements:

• University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Dari/Pashto.
• Demonstrated ability to manage IT-related issues with effective solutions.
• Proficiency in IT troubleshooting, computer/server configurations, and networking. Familiarity with all required programs.
• Excellent problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
