Position: RF Network Optimization Engineer

Job Description:

  • As an RF Network Optimization Engineer at Etisalat Afghanistan, you will:
  • Design and optimize wireless networks utilizing RF propagation principles.
  • Conduct site surveys to evaluate network coverage, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Analyze network performance, recommending and implementing optimization techniques.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network performance reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network performance aligns with customer requirements.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Input and document RF physical parameters in the TSSR/ORF based on field surveys.
  • Plan site integration for new on-air sites.
  • Troubleshoot and submit integration reports for acceptance.
  • Coordinate Global Drive tests, troubleshoot issues, and provide rectification solutions.
  • Conduct physical site audits, implementing Physical CRs (Change Requests) like HBA, Azimuths, Tilts.
  • Assist the RF planning Engineer with nominal site planning and Frequency/neighbors planning for new sites.
  • Provide necessary data and reports as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of RF propagation principles and network planning.
  • Experience with network optimization tools such as Atoll, Planet, and iBwave.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
