Position: Radio Network Engineer

Job Description:

  • Join Etisalat Afghanistan as a Radio Network Engineer, where you’ll be responsible for:
  • Conducting link budget analysis and system dimensioning for coverage and capacity.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving radio network issues.
  • Conducting field tests, audits, and providing technical support to fellow engineers.
  • Frequency/Code and neighbor planning.
  • Daily KPI and Traffic analysis in BSC/RNC and 4G Sites.
  • Analysis and troubleshooting of 2G/3G and 4G Worst Cells.
  • Setting up, utilizing, and processing data using design and optimization equipment and software (TEMS, Actix, Atoll, Planet, and MapInfo).
  • Site candidate evaluation and selection.
  • Implementation of optimization techniques for optimal performance.
  • Generation of RF engineering-related reports.

Job Requirements:

Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of radio network design, planning, optimization, and performance management principles and tools.
  • Proficient in using radio network optimization software (TEMS, Actix, Atoll, Mentum Planet, etc.).
  • Familiarity with radio network standards, protocols, and regulations (3GPP, ITU, FCC, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Working Conditions:

Flexible to work long hours, including weekends.

Willingness to travel.
