About Kunduz Rehabilitation Agency (KRA):

Kunduz Rehabilitation Agency (KRA) is a non-governmental organization established in Kunduz city, Afghanistan, in 1995. Originating from Afghanaid International UK NGO, KRA was founded in response to constant internal conflicts and warlord fights, making it challenging for Afghanaid to continue its operations in the region. Since its inception, KRA has been dedicated to uplifting disadvantaged and vulnerable groups in Afghanistan, adopting an integrated model of development with a holistic approach.

Job Description:

As the Project Manager for the NGOs/CSOs Capacity (Kabul Province) Project, you will lead the field team as part of KRA’s comprehensive development and humanitarian response program. Your responsibilities include developing a project program plan, ensuring smooth implementation, and managing the team’s performance in alignment with the project objectives.

Responsibilities:

Project Implementation:

  • Lead and coordinate NGOs/CSOs Capacity (Kabul Province) project activities.
  • Participate in cluster and other meetings, coordinating with local government line departments.
  • Implement project activities as per the project plan, ensuring safe delivery and coordination with authorities.

Management and Coordination:

  • Select beneficiaries, coordinate with local security officials, and engage with local authorities.
  • Create and train management structures for effective project implementation.
  • Conduct baseline assessments, on-the-spot monitoring, and post-implementation monitoring.

Team Management:

  • Manage the project team, providing technical support, training, and capacity building.
  • Assign daily tasks to lawyers/religious leaders, conduct M&E supervisions, and ensure staff performance.

Reporting:

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and final project reports, documenting progress and outcomes.
Job Requirements:
  • University degree in BBA, Project Management, Social Science, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in similar projects, with at least three years in the NGO sector.
  • Technical competence in economic development, advocacy, capacity building, and awareness programs.
  • Experience in managing multi-sectoral programs, including GBV-Women empowerment, Action Projects, Anti-Corruption, Conflict Resolution, and emergency response programs.
  • Proven program development, monitoring, and reporting experience.
  • Excellent written and oral English language skills.
  • Previous experience with UN-Agencies, Education clusters, National NGOs, or UNDP.
  • Structured, well-organized, and self-driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build others’ capacity and demonstrate cultural and conflict sensitivity.
