Job Description:

As the Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating the strategic technical and operational planning and implementation of all MEAL processes and activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring effective monitoring and performance management to achieve agreed-upon program activity targets.
  • Overseeing data collection, compilation, analysis, and timely reporting in accordance with the M&E Plan.
  • Preparing insightful reports on project innovations, findings, and lessons learned.
  • Assisting the MEAL Manager in conducting regular project reviews and contributing to the facilitation process.
  • Monitoring and evaluating overall progress on the achievement of project results.
  • Leading the development of relevant and high-quality data collection tools for quantitative and qualitative research related to project components.
  • Collaborating with the MEAL Manager to track and register complaints/feedback from project beneficiaries.
  • Supporting the revision of the project log frame matrix and contributing to the development of the project Performance Monitoring Plan.
  • Conducting field-based needs assessments, gap analyses, risk, and vulnerability assessments.

Job Requirements:

  • We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in local languages and English.
  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Recognized M&E certificate is an asset.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Full knowledge of cultural and religious sensitivities and values.
  • Compliance with organizational rules and regulations, including anti-harassment policy.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
