Job Description:

General Position Summary:

The Guard will work closely with the support staff, remaining vigilant at all times. Responsibilities include prohibiting unauthorized access, patrolling during night duty, and providing logistic support.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Vigilance at all times, including night shifts (sleeping on duty leads to immediate termination).
  • Remain at the post consistently, including gate duty.
  • Prohibit unauthorized vehicles within the compound.
  • Receive and log incoming visitors, issue visitor cards.
  • Notify appropriate Mercy Corps staff of arrivals.
  • Maintain gate passes and vehicle log registers.
  • Assist in logistic support as required.
  • Maintain office cleanliness and outdoor premises tidiness.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and policies.
  • Conduct routine patrols during night duty.
  • Respond to radio checks and assist in equipment maintenance.
  • Professional conduct reflecting Mercy Corps values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility: N/A

Reports Directly To: Head Guard

Works Directly With: Head Guard and Support Staff
