Job Description:

Technical Quality:

  • Ensure FSP activities prioritize women, girls, and survivors, following best practices and guiding principles.
  • Maintain a women, girl, and survivor-centered approach in all FSP activities, including confidentiality, respect for decisions, and emotional support.
  • Provide services such as needs assessment, emotional support, crisis counseling, safety strategizing, risk assessment, and referrals following FSP protocols.
  • Implement discretionary assistance in line with internal protocols and eligibility criteria.

Case Management:

  • Adhere to FSP guiding principles in case management and PSS interventions.
  • Safely store detailed and confidential case files following the Case Management Protocol and data protection protocols.
  • Collaborate with FSP service providers to ensure women and girls have confidential access to necessary services.
  • Advocate for life-saving medical care, including clinical management of rape and family planning.

Staff Supervision and Development:

  • Conduct weekly team meetings and regular one-on-one meetings with direct-report staff.
  • Develop monthly teamwork plans, review weekly, and adjust as necessary.
  • Supervise the FSP-Center facilitators and support staff, ensuring timely completion of tasks and performance reviews.
  • Monitor staff well-being, approve leave requests, and facilitate staff training.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Continuously monitor activities’ relevance, assess indicators, and report to the Family Support Senior Response Officer and FSP Manager.
  • Use program data to update weekly activities, meet submission deadlines, and ensure careful storage of information.
  • Contribute to monthly activity reports and flag any deviations from the planned activities.

Coordination:

  • Actively participate in team case management meetings and individual supervision sessions.
  • Conduct focus group discussions to inform program activities and collaborate with the FSP team to address evolving needs.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, community leaders, and implementing partners.

Other:

  • Ability to travel to various locations, including villages throughout Herat and provinces where IRC operates.
  • Respond to emergencies in Herat province, providing essential FSP CM services.
  • Complete attendance sheets for activities, contribute to monthly reports, and maintain positive coordination with partners.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, humanities, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in women and girls programming.
  • Understanding of the impact and dynamics of FSP programming.
  • Direct experience in basic counseling, psychosocial support, case management, and service delivery.
  • Ability to provide training and mentoring.
  • Proficiency in community outreach and mobilization.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation principles.
  • Fluency in Dari, Pashto, and English.
