As a signatory to the Code of Conduct for International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movements, and NGOs in Disaster Relief, IRW plays a crucial role in various sectors such as emergency relief, food security, livelihood, education, health, nutrition, shelter, orphan sponsorship, Ramadan, and Qurbani programs.
As a Business Development Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the selection and empowerment of entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration with key stakeholders, and ensuring the success of business development initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct capacity-building trainings for entrepreneurs on business management, including financial management, production processes, marketing, and expansion opportunities.
- Collaborate with Afghanistan Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AWCCI) for the selection of entrepreneurs and facilitate meetings.
- Prepare contracts for trainers and support them in conducting training sessions, ensuring alignment with AWCCI and UNDP.
- Assist in developing business development plans for entrepreneurs and facilitate bank account openings.
- Conduct Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) of the project and support the transfer of seed capital grants to selected entrepreneurs.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports to the line manager.
- Provide ongoing business development and follow-up support to women entrepreneurs.
- Engage in meetings and coordination with AWCCI at the provincial level.
- Coordinate with government authorities, stakeholders, and provide logistic support for training sessions.
Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, marketing and sales, commerce, or related fields. A master’s degree is an advantage.
Experience and Skills Required:
2 to 3 years of relevant experience in roles such as Business Development Assistant, SMEs, or entrepreneurship development.
Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English is required.
Proficiency in MS Office and internet usage.
