Job Description:

As a Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) Specialist for the USAID/Afghanistan program, you will play a crucial role in employing robust USAID CLA practices tailored to the Program Cycle stages. This position involves leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive learning agenda, fostering collaborative relationships among stakeholders, and contributing to the enhancement of project cycles.

Responsibilities:

USAID CLA Practices:

Implement strong USAID CLA practices tailored to different Program Cycle stages.

Learning Agenda:

Lead the development and implementation of a learning agenda for continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Establish, facilitate, and nurture collaborative relationships and dialogue between USAID/Afghanistan stakeholders, including implementing partners and local government stakeholders.

Pause and Reflect Meetings:

Conduct data-driven “pause and reflect” meetings with AQBE partners, in coordination with MERL Director and Senior M&E Manager.

CLA Integration:

  • Identify entry points for integrating CLA into AQBE programming.
  • Identify CLA tools and techniques to enhance the AQBE project cycle.

Lessons Learned:

  • Conduct surveys for lessons learned workshops and generate reports.
  • Support partner organizations in conducting lessons learned workshops and reporting.

Data Analysis and Visualization:

  • Perform analysis of indicator trends to inform learning, in consultation with MERL Director and Senior M&E Manager.
  • Support the visualization of knowledge products.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of CLA in project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; master’s degree is preferable in research.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Pashto and Dari languages.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct partner visits.
