Job Description:

Join Etisalat Afghanistan as a BSS Network Specialist and play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing the network’s daily operations. This position requires a proactive individual with the ability to troubleshoot network issues, manage spare parts, and contribute to the integration of new BSS network elements. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring network availability, troubleshooting alarms, and collaborating with various departments to address service outages.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily network checklists to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Maintain network availability to meet set targets.
  • Troubleshoot 2nd and 3rd level BSS network alarms.
  • Manage BSS spare parts, including GRN, issuance, and database updates.
  • Integrate new BSS NE (GSM, UMTS, LTE) and prepare commissioning data for new sites.
  • Conduct end-to-end troubleshooting of service outages with other departments.
  • Follow up on trouble tickets with vendors and update BSS-related databases daily.
  • Monitor BSC/RNC critical/major alarms periodically on a daily basis.
  • Conduct BSS network interface expansion (Abis, Gb, A, IUB, IUCS, IUPS, etc.).
  • Work on site resource expansion and perform weekly monitoring of BSS major interfaces.
  • Lead TDM to IP migration of sites and support teams in modernizing EOL equipment.
  • Follow up on purchase orders (PO) and purchase requests (PR) while updating related databases.

Job Requirements:

High School graduate with one year of relevant experience.
