Role Overview:

As a Content Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in highlighting the humanitarian services provided by various national and international organizations. Join our dynamic team and contribute to creating impactful articles, guides, and content to be shared across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and develop compelling articles, guides, and content showcasing the humanitarian services offered by different organizations.
  • Create service mapping content initially in English or a national language, translating it into Dari, Pashto, and English to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Identify service providers through various channels, ensuring information accuracy using specific tools.
  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with service providers, maintaining communication for information accuracy.
  • Conduct orientations for service providers on effective use of the service map, soliciting feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Signpost Global technical teams, providing input on website features and troubleshooting.
  • Review and upload content using CMS/Directus platforms, ensuring alignment with Signpost Global’s requirements.
  • Design visually appealing posters for service mapping content in coordination with Graphic Designers.
  • Work closely with Afghanistan’s Signpost team (Beporsed) to verify service information and suggest effective content delivery methods.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, literature, law, social science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in media, report writing, content development, or related fields.
  • Proficient in report writing, website content development, and translations.
  • Initial knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Strong writing and communication skills in Dari, Pashto, and English.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and basic graphic design principles is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, and receptiveness to feedback.
