Job Description:

The Financial Compliance and Audit Specialist is pivotal in ensuring robust financial review, data collection, and reporting. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and auditing financial statements and reports, promptly reporting discrepancies.
  • Offering justifications for auditor queries during fieldwork and addressing finance compliance findings.
  • E-filing and reviewing monthly vouchers into the Box Portal.
  • Managing data files, ensuring appropriate filing of electronic and hard copies of financial documents.
  • Supervising the E-Fillings system and overseeing the archive team.
  • Facilitating communication with all departments regarding audit findings and justifications.
  • Providing training and orientation to finance interns and assistants.
  • Demonstrating a strong background and experience in audit methodologies and techniques.
  • Identifying business process risks and reviewing financial records for a comprehensive overview.
  • Writing reports summarizing findings and proposing changes for Senior Finance Manager review.

Specific Duties:

  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP guidelines and International Standard Auditing (ISA) rules and regulations.
  • Ensuring timely provision of all necessary documents to auditors and compliance teams.
  • Managing data files and filing hard copies of financial documents appropriately.
  • Undertaking any other task assigned by the supervisor under IRC policy and regulations.
  • Ensuring quality work from digital archive assistants and monitoring their progress.
  • Focus on new training related to audit, partnership, and compliance department.
  • Any other related job assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BBA) or higher stages of ACCA, CIA, CIMA are advantageous.
  • Experience: 3 to 4 years in Finance, Accounting, or Audit.
  • Skills: Background in external or internal audit, communication and reporting skills.
  • Language: Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English.
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Internet.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse backgrounds and acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills with a good command of oral and written English.
  • Good organizational and administrative skills.
