About New Way Social and Development Organization:

New Way Social & Development Organization, established in 2011 and registered with the Ministry of Economy, Government of Afghanistan, is a dedicated development, advocacy, and humanitarian organization. Headquartered in Kabul, with programming hubs in the north and northeastern provinces, the organization focuses on empowering vulnerable and marginalized communities affected by war, natural calamities, poverty, and injustice. Job Description:

  • As a Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in the development, coordination, and management of project activities in the province. Your responsibilities include:
  • Developing and updating the provincial work plan and budget in collaboration with the project manager and program lead.
  • Providing practical and technical follow-up and monitoring of project activities for sustainability and impact.
  • Coordinating and managing project activities, fostering private sector partnerships in alignment with the project work plan, budget, and quality standards.
  • Establishing strong working relationships with government authorities, private sector actors, civil society organizations, beneficiaries, and stakeholders at provincial and district levels.
  • Ensuring integration of cross-cutting issues such as gender equality, women’s empowerment, and social cohesion in all project activities.
  • Providing technical and administrative support to project staff, partners, and beneficiaries, including facilitating trainings, workshops, meetings, and field visits.
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress and outcomes using quantitative and qualitative data, indicators, and tools, and reporting results and recommendations.
  • Preparing and submitting regular and timely reports on project activities, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned in accordance with reporting guidelines.
  • Participating in project coordination and learning events, sharing provincial perspectives, insights, and feedback.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards in project deliverables.
  • Identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Developing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
  • Participating in all relevant provincial-level meetings.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Project Manager/Program Department.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business Administration, Social Science, or a related field.
  • Certification in Project Management is an asset.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in project management roles, preferably in a humanitarian aid or development context.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR management software.
  • Fluency in English and Dari or Pashto; both written and spoken.
