Internship Opportunity: Program Support Intern

Job Description:

This internship at World Vision Afghanistan offers a unique learning platform where interns support and assist the Program team at the Herat National Office. As an intern, you will be involved in supporting the GAM team between March and June, contributing to project report reviews, new project design, and various administrative tasks.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Program Officers in reviewing project reports and providing constructive feedback to enhance quality.
  • Facilitate regular catch-up calls, reviewing project financials monthly.
  • Collaborate with Program Officers and Resource Development Manager to update Program folders.
  • Provide writing support for PNS Concept Notes.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Sector Leads for the design of PNS projects, ensuring timely inputs for Concept Notes/Proposals.
  • Attend catch-up calls, assist GAM team in note-taking.
  • Assist with GAM administrative-related issues.
  • Perform any other official duties required by the line manager.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent language skills (English and Dari), both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Concept and Proposal Writing preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management and report writing.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on need and urgency.
  • Professional communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

Organization and time management.

Responsiveness and hardworking attitude.

Attention to detail and delivering quality work.
