About the Job:
The NTS/EORE Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the safe execution of tasks related to Non-Technical Survey (NTS) and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role involves collecting updated and reliable data on Explosive Ordnance (EO) suspected hazardous areas, delivering EORE sessions, and managing team resources for optimal productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct polygon survey/Non-Technical Survey of EO suspected hazardous areas (MF, BF, and AIM).
- Deliver EORE sessions to the community, focusing on high-risk areas according to the work plan.
- Ensure the safety and functionality of team technical equipment, inventory, and transportation.
- Manage overall technical/operational aspects and radio communications in adherence to DRC HMA SOPs.
- Collect data on EO information and accidents, reviewing and submitting reports to the NTS/EORE TL.
- Maintain EORE training material, ensuring its good condition and availability for distribution.
- Handle, maintain, and report faults on assigned equipment.
- Map and measure areas for NTS survey as per TL orders.
- Report operational site problems to the TL and maintain liaison with local authorities and communities.
- Uphold discipline within the team during NTS or EORE operations.
- Record daily, weekly, NTS/EORE activities and submit reports to the TL.
- Conduct pre-post forms, achieve assigned targets, and ensure SADD data collection.
- Conduct impact monitoring as per plan, fill forms, and submit reports to the TL.
- Respond to EO survivors through the DRC Emergency Victim Assistance (EVA) program.
- Undertake tasks as directed by the NTS/EORE Team leader.
Job Requirements:
- Experience and Technical Competencies:
- Minimum one year experience in EORE.
- Minimum one year NTS experience.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- NTS/EORE operators shall be a couple (mahram) to each other.
Education/Qualifications:
High school certificate.
NTS course certificates.
EORE course certificates.
Languages:
Fluency in Pashto and Dari.
Basic proficiency in English.
