Job Description:
As a Gemologist at AinaBazaar Technologies Services, you will have the opportunity for extensive exploration of both internal and external surfaces of gems, utilizing instruments like refractometers and microscopes. Your responsibilities will include delivering industry applications of Gemology to students, serving as a gem expert to ascertain the composition, value, quality, and genuineness of gems, and demonstrating expertise in sales and marketing on a national and international level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth examinations of gems using optical instruments and chemical solutions.
- Deliver industry applications of Gemology to students.
- Analyze gems to determine composition, value, quality, and genuineness.
- Demonstrate proficiency in sales and marketing, engaging with national and international markets/buyers.
- Immerse stones and gems in chemical solutions to understand their properties.
- Explore and study rare gems and stones to identify unique specimens or properties.
- Estimate the quality and market value of gems.
- Advise customers on gem purchases based on expertise.
- Maintain good liaisons with international companies, including business visits to South Asian countries.
Key Skills:
- Essential hand-eye coordination.
- Proficiency in using optical instruments and extensive knowledge of gems.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong background in mathematics and chemistry.
Job Requirements:
- Post-graduate degree in Gemology Engineering from an ISO-certified institute for Gems and Jewelry.
- Gemology certification is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various gems and proficiency in using gemological equipment and chemicals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
