Job Overview:
We are seeking an adept individual to spearhead a comprehensive training initiative tailored for rural Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Khost, Paktia, Kandahar, and Kabul provinces. The role entails:
Conducting a needs assessment within the target demographic to tailor training content and methodologies. Designing and conducting engaging training sessions, fostering interactive group discussions and exercises. Offering personalized coaching to assist participants in applying training insights to their specific business contexts. Collaborating with local stakeholders to ensure relevance and effectiveness of the training program. Collecting and analyzing participant feedback for continuous program enhancement. Providing technical support to facilitate the implementation of training content within the businesses. Assisting in the development and execution of a monitoring and evaluation plan to gauge the program’s impact.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Value Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in handicrafts, fiber value chain development, training, or consulting, preferably in Afghanistan or similar settings. In-depth knowledge of handicrafts and fiber value chains, especially embroidered materials development. Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in rural settings. Exceptional communication and facilitation skills for engaging diverse audiences and stakeholders. Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities for informed decision-making. Capability to work both independently and collaboratively, displaying adaptability and flexibility. Deep commitment to advancing rural communities through sustainable handicrafts and fiber development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Agribusiness, Value Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. Prior experience in Khost, Paktia, Kandahar, Kabul provinces, or similar regions in Afghanistan. Work experience with rural SMEs, farmer groups, or cooperatives. Familiarity with international best practices in handicrafts and fiber value chain development, training, and consulting. Expertise in participatory training methods like action learning and participatory rural appraisal.
