Job Description

About DHSA-TKG (Mursal Radio):

Established in 1992, Development and Humanitarian Services for Afghanistan (DHSA) has been steadfast in its mission to redefine Afghanistan’s development landscape. The primary goal is to foster a robust civil society that empowers local ownership of development initiatives, promotes dignity, and envisions a sustainable, peaceful future for all Afghans.

During the 1990s, DHSA played a crucial role in leveraging local knowledge and traditional bonds to bridge the gaps caused by a fragile national government and the absence of essential public services. The focus encompassed various activities such as water sanitation, education, providing food aid to drought-affected communities, rural rehabilitation, aligning local expertise with financial and political support from global aid agencies and donors like EC, USAID, WFP, WHO, the UN, Canada fund/Care International, and Novib.

The political transformation following the Bonn Agreement in 2001 enabled DHSA to expand its scope, integrating the development of Afghanistan’s civil society through media, education, and diverse community projects alongside humanitarian aid efforts.

DHSA currently operates through five core activities:

  • Humanitarian Aid
  • Public Media and Communication (TKG)
  • Education
  • Cultural Heritage Preservation
  • Environmental Protection
