Scholarship and Financial Considerations
Changemakers have the opportunity to receive support to attend the Academy. If granted a scholarship for the Youth Assembly Academies, it covers program fees and travel expenses, allowing participants to access the program’s offerings at no cost. However, bear in mind that scholarship coverage excludes round-trip flights, airport transfers, visa fees, travel/health insurance, personal incidentals, and expenses beyond the program scope.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Changemakers Academy and associated scholarships, applicants must meet these criteria:
- Age: Between 18 – 32 years old during application submission.
- AFS Global STEM Program: Prior participation in the AFS/bp Global STEM program.
- Youth Assembly Participation: No prior attendance at the AFS Youth Assembly.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to acquire a travel visa and travel to the United States for the in-person Academy.
