Job Description:
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing monthly taxes, ensuring compliance with Afghanistan tax laws, and optimizing tax-related opportunities for Akramzada International Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate and process monthly taxes, ensuring timely payments.
- Prepare quarterly reports for submission to the Ministry of Taxes and Obligations (MTO) and obtain quarterly clearance.
- Obtain yearly clearance from MTO and secure a clearance certificate for the company.
- Estimate and track tax returns, completing quarterly and annual reports.
- Familiarity with Afghanistan tax laws and online tax return systems.
- Timely cash-in at MTO and ensure 100% remittance of tax obligations.
- Utilize ARDES (Afghanistan Revenue Department Electronic Service) for online tax preparation.
- Ensure accurate computation of tax liabilities and maintain proper documentation.
- Identify, review, and implement tax optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate tax audits.
- Address queries raised during the audit process and liaise with tax consultants.
Job Requirements:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification in taxation.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax-related roles.
- Proven track record of successful tax compliance and reporting.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
Technology Proficiency:
Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
