Job Description:
Under the guidance of the M&E Manager, the Field Monitor/M&E Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and timely implementation of projects, aligning with the strategic vision of the organization. Responsibilities include designing and executing the M&E activities plan for all field-related CP projects, assisting in the preparation of Quarterly/Annual reports, and monitoring project activities. The Field Monitor/M&E Officer will be actively involved in data collection and analysis, providing valuable insights into project progress.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance monitoring and evaluation procedures.
- Regularly monitor CP project activities, ensuring progress towards the project implementation plan and objectives.
- Recommend improvements to the logical framework components.
- Collect and record data based on result-oriented monitoring and evaluation progress.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for assessing project work plan norms and activities.
- Identify strategies to enhance project efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability.
- Report weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual progress on all project activities to the Provincial Project Manager and M&E Manager.
- Apply the best methodology for monitoring and evaluation in line with the existing system, developing better indicators and activities.
- Participate in project start, ongoing, and end close-up sessions, supporting field staff during monitoring field visits.
- Coordinate with project implementation staff to share M&E planned data collection forms.
- Conduct field monitoring visits, focusing on SWOT analysis, and prepare tools for M&E usage.
- Verify that planned movements and activities align with objectives, reporting any discrepancies or issues for timely resolution.
- Receive and organize feedback from collaborating partners, authorities, and beneficiaries.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience with project implementation funded by donor organizations (UN, UNICEF, etc.).
- Background in working with I/NGOs in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills in Pashto, Dari, and English (oral and written).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet usage.
- Outstanding teamwork building and management skills.
- Negotiation and decision-making skills, self-motivated for field visits and data collection.
- Ability to make decisions and achieve measurable results through a diverse team.
- Ability to travel within villages, districts, and provinces as planned.
- Time-management, organizational behavior, and community mobilization skills.
