Norwegian Refugee Council
About Company
Welcome to the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), an independent humanitarian organization dedicated to aiding individuals compelled to flee their homes.
With a legacy dating back to our relief efforts post-World War Two, NRC remains committed to safeguarding displaced populations and aiding them in constructing promising new beginnings. Operating in over 40 countries, we specialize in six critical areas: food security, education, shelter, legal assistance, protection from violence, and water, sanitation, and hygiene.
At NRC, we staunchly advocate for the rights and dignity of those forcibly displaced. Through engagement at the local, national, and international levels, we champion the rights of displaced individuals within communities and governments. Our Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre in Geneva is a global frontrunner in monitoring, reporting, and advocating for internally displaced persons.
Collaborating with partners worldwide, NORCAP, our global provider of humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding expertise, works diligently to develop sustainable solutions for at-risk populations in conjunction with local, national, and international collaborators.
Comprising around 15,000 dedicated humanitarians, most of whom operate locally in the field, NRC also houses a small team at our headquarters in Oslo. Many of our colleagues have themselves experienced forced displacement.
Presently, a staggering 108 million individuals are fleeing conflict and persecution, marking an unprecedented need for our assistance. In 2022, the Norwegian Refugee Council aided almost 10 million people globally. With your support, we aim to extend our reach even further.
Help us make a difference in the lives of those in need. Your support empowers us to assist more individuals seeking refuge from crises around the world.
